Smart Terminal
Smart Terminal is a floating shell window rooted in your project directory. Run commands, catch failures, and copy fix prompts without switching to a separate terminal app.

It is a built-in terminal. It does not mirror Cursor's integrated terminal.
Main features
- Full interactive shell via xterm.js
- Failure detection on non-zero exits and common test output patterns

- Fix with context — one-click bundle with MVC pack (see Fix With Context)
- Verify loop v2 — Session Hub play button re-runs verify; pin status uses Vitest/Jest/tsc parsers (not exit code alone). Exit 0 with failure patterns → still broken (known limitation).

Window position and size persist between sessions.
Debug workflow
- Open Smart Terminal (
Ctrl+Shift+Tor palette → Open Smart Terminal). - Run your test or build command (try Project commands for shortcuts).
- On failure, the dock highlights the issue.
- Copy fix prompt or Fix with context (failure + git-changed files + tests), paste in Cursor, implement.
- Re-run in the terminal.
- Mark resolved when green (dismiss persists across commands for the same fingerprint).
Fix copies append to Session Hub. Optional Auto-run verify after Fix with Context (Settings) queues the suggested verify command automatically.
Verify loop (Session Hub)
Pinned fix entries can carry a verify command and status: awaiting verify → verified or still broken. Re-run from Session Hub (play button) or let Auto-run verify after Fix with Context queue it after copy. Outcomes use structured output parsers; last-green in Flight Recorder updates only on parser-confirmed passes.
Security Audit in the terminal
When audit results show in the terminal dock, you get the same export options as the audit panel (SARIF, Markdown) and can copy fix prompts without switching views.
If Smart Terminal is already open, clicking Security Audit on the toolbar routes new scans to this dock.
Tips
- cwd follows the selected project. Switch projects if paths look wrong.
- Shell type is not configurable as an IDE profile would be; it follows your Windows environment.
- Some tools exit 0 even when output looks wrong. Verify loop v2 flags still broken when parsers see failure patterns despite exit 0 — prefer runners that fail non-zero, or review output manually.
